Priyanka Chopra Jonas Joins Janata Curfew From US, Applauds The Unsung Heroes

As requested by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India observed Janta Curfew on Sunday and citizens across the nation applauded and appreciated the efforts of the frontline workers by clapping for them, ringing bells and beating thalis from their balconies and terraces. Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is presently in the US, also joined Indians in applauding for the heroes.

PeeCee shared a video with her fans, which shows her clapping loudly and captioned it, “People around the world have shown their appreciation for the doctors, nurses and all the first responders battling Covid-19 by clapping on their balconies. Although I could not be India to join, I am there in spirit.”

Numerous Bollywood actors like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Vicky Kaushal, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Varun Dhawan among others also applauded the services of essential service providers on Sunday during the Janta Curfew.

Priyanka and her husband Nick Jonas are on self-isolation currently at their US residence. The Sky is Pink actress will next be seen in a Netflix film ‘The White Tiger’ alongside Rajkummar Rao.
