Peepli Live Co-director Mahmood Farooqui Alleged Of Rape Charges

The Peepli Live co-director Mahmood Farooqui was arrested by Delhi police on the charges of rape. Police reported that, Farooqui has been accused of raping a 35-year-old American national three months ago.

Farooqui is married to director and screenwriter Anusha Rizvi, who directed the 2010 satirical comedy Peepli Live. According to a popular daily, Farooqui invited the woman to his Sukhdev Vihar home after which he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Although Farooqui’s wife has maintained that the complaint is false and manipulated. The court will be further looking into the case.
