Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmavati by Sanjay Leela Bhansali will hit the screens on 17th November 2017.
The movie was earlier scheduled to release on 15th December 2017, a week before the release of Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai. According to reports, since the movie will find it difficult to recover its huge budget of 170 crores within a week, the makers have preponed the release of the movie.

Padmavati will now release 5 weeks before Tiger Zinda Hai, giving the movie a big 4 weeks run.

Ranveer Singh will portray the character of Alauddin Khilji, while Shahid and Deepika will play the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar and Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh in the movie.
The movie is produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The shooting of the movie is to begin shortly.
