Join UsMegastar Salman Khan has received a death threat in a social media post, written on the Facebook wall of the Student Organisation of Punjab University (Sopu) page, on September 16.
The police have now initiated an investigation after the post went viral.
The post, by a certain Gairi Shooter has a crossed picture of Salman Khan, with a note that reads, “Salman, think, you can save yourself from Indian law, however, Vishnoi Samaj and Sopu Party has announced death sentence for you. You are an accused in Sopu’s court”.
The post further read,”Salaam sahid da nu; Respect girls; Save animals; Avoid drugs & help poors; Sukha kahlon Garry.”
For those living under the rock this post appears closely around Salman Khan’s next hearing date in the blackbuck poaching case that has been subjudice ever since 1998.
DCP Dharmendra Yadav has said, “The police are on alert. We also gave proper security to the celebrity when he came here for hearing previously. An investigation has been initiated.”

Salman Khan has been sentenced to a five-year imprisonment in the blackbuck poaching case, but is currently out on bail.
In the last hearing of the case, the bench of judges had issued a stern warning to Salman that if did not appear before the court on his next date, i.e 27th September, his bail would be at risk of being revoked!
