This week’s release, Bumm Bumm Bole, has at least two actors who bagged National Awards for their very first films. Atul Kulkarni, who plays the leading role in the film, made his debut in Hey! Ram, for which he won the National Award. Priyadarshan’s Bumm Bumm Bole also stars Darsheel Safary in a key role. Darsheel had got the National Award for his debut-making film, Taare Zameen Par. By the way, both, Hey! Ram and Taare Zameen Par, were directed by actors-turned-directors. Kamal Haasan called the shots in Hey! Ram whereas Taare Zameen Par had Aamir Khan as the captain.
