After the success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Ek Tha Tiger, Salman Khan and Kabir Khan will be once again coming together for Tubelight. The director successfully managed to show us a different side of Salman in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and is once again ready to do so in his next.
We hear, Salman will be seen playing the role of a ‘special person’ in the film. His character will be lovingly called as ‘Tubelight‘ because of his slow understanding. This will be the first time, the actor will be seen in such a challenging role, as a man-child.

Interestingly, the film is also a period drama which is set in 1960-62 with a cross-border love story angle. It will be set in the backdrop of Indo-Sino war. According to reports, Salman’s character will be falling in love with a Chinese girl.

The movie will star Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, late Om Puri and Sohail Khan in key roles. The film is set to release in Eid 2017.
