Join UsThis is big news. Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt are planning to make a sequel to their 2004 hit, Murder. Emraan Hashmi will be the only one from the original cast to be a part of Murder 2. Mallika Sherawat, who had sent shockwaves with her portrayal of a hot seductress in the original, will be replaced by another of her Bollywood contemporaries.
There’s more. Anurag Basu, who had become hot property after the success of Murder, will not work on the sequel. Instead, Mohit Suri, who has directed films like Zehar, Kalyug, Woh Lamhe, Awarapan and Raaz: The Mystery Continues, will helm the project. This is great news for Emraan Hashmi fans, as the Bhatt camp favourite had found his first success in Murder, and also cultivated the ‘serial-kisser’ image with this film.
