Mission Mangal is directed by Jagan Shakti, includes a highly studded B-Town cast which includes Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen. The teaser looked quite promising and gave us chills. This movie featuring Akshay, who is simultaneously shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, is one of the most anticipated movies of this year.

The teaser was released on July 9th, 2019 and have been garnering praises from all around the corner. The teaser got the audiences excited and we can’t wait for the trailer. Reports have it that the makers are planning to launch the trailer on a grand level on July 18th, 2019. The makers are planning to keep the theme related to space and the mission.

Mission Mangal is based on the real event of Mangalyaan space mission which took place on November 5th, 2013 by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). India was the fourth country to perform this kind of mission after Roscosmos, NASA and European Space Energy, to reach Mars.

Akshay will be seen playing the role of ISRO scientist Rakesh Dhawan. He took social media to share the news of the teaser launch:

Earlier talking about the film, Akshay shared that “Mission Mangal” is a movie he did especially for his daughter and other children her age.

“‘Mission Mangal‘, a film which I hope will inspire as much as entertain. A film which I’ve done specially for my daughter and children her age to familiarise them with the incredible true story of India’s mission to Mars,” he had tweeted.

The film is scheduled to release on August 15.
