Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, which is due for release on 16th December in India and worldwide, should take a bumper opening not just in the US but in India too if its trailers are anything to go by. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, which is releasing the fourth instalment in the M:I series in India, kept a preview of some scenes from the eagerly awaited film on 3rd November at IMAX, Wadala, Bombay for invitees. To say that the stunts in the film are breathtaking would be an understatement. There is an entire sequence in which Tom Cruise scales (without a ladder) many top floors of a skyscraper with a smooth glass exterior. The thrill of watching the stunts on an IMAX screen is multiplied because of which the producers have decided to open the film in only 200 IMAX screens in the USA on 16th December. It will be released wide on 21st when normal screens will also be added.

Anil Kapoor plays a small but significant role in the Tom Cruise starrer directed by Brad Bird. Incidentally, if the fourth M:I film has not been titled Mission: Impossible IV, in keeping with its two predecessors viz. Mission: Impossible II and Mission: Impossible III, it is because the makers did not want people to give the latest film a miss simply because they may not have watched M:I II and/or M:I III. M:I – Ghost Protocol, which also boasts of extraordinary cinematography, has been dubbed in Hindi.
