Ever since the trailer to Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Ritiesh Deshmukh’s, Marjaavaan is out, there have been constant comparisons that fans have been drawing to the film with Sidharth and Riteish’s previous film, Ek Villain.

However, Riteish has now finally spilled the beans on the constant comparisons saying that his character in Marjaavaan, Vishnu is nothing like Rakesh from Ek Villain. Well, not just that but Riteish’s dwarfism is also being compared to Shah Rukh Khan’s character from ZERO.

Now finally clarifying how his character is different from Ek Villain, Riteish has been quoted saying, “We had to film every shot from five different angles. Besides being on my knees all the time, I had several restrictions. I remember shooting for a sequence that comes right before the intermission in which I am required to stand in the muck.”

Further speaking to Mid-Day, the Masti actor said, “Once the director said cut, I was covered in muck, right from my knees to the thighs. I had to wait in that state for my next shot. In such scenarios, the performance is not the challenge. But, sitting in dirty, wet clothes for three nights becomes difficult and irritating.”

Riteish concluded saying, “Rakesh Mahadkar [his character in Ek Villain] is, the boy next door, easily forgotten in a crowd. But Vishnu in Marjaavaan is a 180-degree turnaround from that. He is vertically challenged, but larger-than-life, arrogant and brash.”

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Marjaavaan is slated to release on the November 15.
