An actress who zoomed her way to super stardom with her maiden film Saudagaar (1991), a personality who made everyone love her Dil Se, has been diagnosed with cancer of late. The bubbly and high spirited Manisha Koirala who went through a troubled marriage very recently, now has to overcome the hurdles of the fatal disease with grit and determination.
The 42 year old actress, who recently made her comeback into the industry with Ram Gopal Varma’s Bhoot Returns, has been admitted to Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai this Wednesday and rumours suggest that she has been diagnosed with cancer. Hospital officials are said to be undertaking various tests on the actress.
A few days back Manisha had been to her native hometown in Nepal where she was reportedly hospitalized. Later, the beauty queen tweeted that she has been suffering from bouts of food poisoning. But things went havoc when she suddenly fell unconscious and was rushed to Jaslok Hospital for treatment. There, as reports suggest, Manisha has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, one that is quite common in females these days. Though her family members including her mother, father and brother are by her side, they have maintained the much dignified silence on the matter. Manisha underwent numerous tests at the hospital which were purposely kept confidential and hence the situation has been amplified out of proportion. With all the Media reports and the strong silence on the hospital management’s part, one can only wish all these are just mere petty rumours and nothing else.
Nevertheless, we wish the lively and the strong willed Manisha a speedy recovery and hope that she comes back with another bang for her life’s third innings!
