Mallika Sherawat: I Was Waiting For A Performance Oriented Film

Mallika Sherawat, has always managed to be in the news with her glamorous roles, controversial statements or exaggeration over her international projects and contacts. But, Sherawat who is always followed by controversies, had gone invisible all of sudden from past couple of years. However, she is now back with a bang with her movie Dirty Politics.

Much to the surprise, she is the main protagonist and the movie is posed as woman oriented. During the trailer launch, yesterday, Mallika expressed her feelings on getting this film and why she was away from Bollywood.

“I want to thank the director, K.C Bokadiaji for giving me this performance oriented role. Usually I don’t get such kind of roles, coz mostly I have been offered glamorous roles. This is a once in a life time chance for me. And I was really waiting for a really good part to come my way. And that’s why the break happen. But I didn’t waste time, I was working in the US. Talking about my role in the film, I am playing the character named, Anokhidevi. She belongs to a very poor family in a small village in Rajasthan. She is a greedy and ambitious woman, and can do whatever required to fulfill her ambition. She wants to go up in life and she uses her sex appeal to dominate the politician and go up in life and realize her ambition and power.”

When asked what sorts of project the actress was busy doing she said, “I was busy doing, Hawaii Five-O which is the top 5 TV series in America, sharing the screen space with Alex O’Loughlin.”

Well, as per the research it was just one episode that Mallika was a part of this long running American TV series. Did that really kept her too busy to be away from Bollywood?
