About his upcoming movie, Chicken Curry.., it will witness him in the character of Mutthu Swamy, who is a lawyer. The plot revolved around a belly dancer working at the bar who faces sexual harassment, and the rest of the story is about how every part of the society focuses on blaming her and questioning her character rather than having their focus on the influential man who did this to her.

Makarand, also shared about how his love for stage persists, even after entering the industry and how it will remain forever. “I may keep doing films and television every now, but the performer in me comes alive only when I am on stage,” he shared.
