While she danced her way through everyone’s hearts in Ek-Do-Teen, she was the new dancing queen in Bollywood. However, it was in 1991 with, Saajan that the actress became the reigning queen in Bollywood.
She delivered the highest grosser of the year in 1992 with Beta. The film is still considered one of the cults in Hindi Cinema. The film had a string of songs as well that turned chartbusters. Starting from Dhak Dhak Karne Laga to Koyal Si Teri Boli.

MD ruled the world with those sighs while she danced with Anil Kapoor in a Gerua Saree! The satin saree and its embellished blouse turned the fashion world upside down in those days. People were obsessed with the look. So much so that the Saree got auctioned at a price of Rs. 88,000 at a bidding event. We wonder who wore that saree after Madhuri!

When Madhuri turned her head to Ye kiski hai aahat in Devdas, we all went drooling over those expressions. Her green lehenga, which twirled with her beautifully at Maar Daala, has a history of its own. While the actress made a place in hearts with Humpe Ye Kisne Hara Rang Daala, the lehenga was auctioned at a price of 3 crore (30 million). Just look at this beauty!
However, while these prices were enormous, there were some items that were sold at extremely convenient prices. At an auction in 1993, another Beta outfit worn by Madhuri Dixit was sold at 2500 INR. A few years ago, deRivaz & Ives Magazine, which is popular for vintage collections, auctioned some of the rarest original film posters. Madhuri Dixit’s poster from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun was sold for almost Rs 4,480 (almost $55).
In the same auction, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit’s poster from Devdas was auctioned at a price of Rs 5,600. However, some other lobby cards of Madhuri Dixit from the song Dola Re Dola, also ft. Aishwarya Rai was auctioned at a whopping price of Rs. 19,040.
