While Ali Zafar has sung for Bollywood films before, London Paris New York marks his debut as a composer in the Hindi film industry. The singer-composer-actor has lent his voice to all the songs in the film, except one. He has also written the lyrics for the songs.

The cast and crew of LPNY were surprised to see a huge crowd gathered at Times Square when they were shooting in New York. That’s when they realized that Christopher Nolan was shooting for The Dark Night Rises.

Singer Ali Zafar used to collect money by drawing portraits and sketches in hotel lobbies in order to earn enough to record his first music album. He also did modelling assignments to make enough money to release his album. Thankfully, his efforts paid off and his album was a hit.
Following in the footsteps of Ali Zafar, even Aditi Rao Hydari sang for the film. She even has a small acoustic solo in the movie. This is also her first film as the female lead though she has acted in Delhi-6, Yeh Saali Zindagi and Rockstar before.
Anu Menon, the director of LPNY, makes her debut with this film.
Travelling in a train may not be all that unique but Ali Zafar didn’t mind donning a disguise to promote his film. Not only that, the talented artist even showed off his painting skills with a beautiful portrait of co-star Aditi!
Though Aditi has acted in two movies before, producer Goldie Behl noticed Aditi in a television commercial and asked her to be cast in the film.
The makers of LPNY have planned a grand red carpet premiere of the film in Ali Zafar’s homeland, Karachi, on 8 March.
Not only did Ali Zafar find New York similar to Mumbai, the actor-singer loves the city even more because he purchased all the equipment for his music studio from the New York Guitar Centre!
London Paris New York has been shot in three cities and in just 30 days!
