Fresh from the success of Good Newwz, Akshya Kumar is already geared up to treat fans with Laxmmi Bomb, a horror-comedy which features him in the role of a transgender. The film, also starring Kiara Advani faced a crisis when director Raghava Lawrence opted out owing to issues within the team. While many were left baffled, they sorted out stuff and everything went back to normal. But here’s what Khiladi Kumar has to say about it.

While the exact reason remained unknown, Raghava Lawrence had hinted that he felt disrespected by the makers. In a long note on Twitter, Lawrence previously explained that there are several reasons behind the decision of leaving the film and one of them was the fact that he was not informed before the first look poster released and came to know about it from a third person.

When asked about the same to Akshay Kumar in a conversation with leading daily Mid-day, the actor answered, “I have no idea what happened. Shabina [Khan, producer] and Raghava spoke and sorted out [the issue]. Raghava is one of the finest directors when it comes to making a horror film. I respect him as a filmmaker. We started shooting [after the episode], and since then, nobody has even mentioned the incident. It’s all good among us.”

Furthermore, while speaking about his character, and how comfortable the actor is donning the saree look, “I am comfortable in a saree and had no problem shooting in it. I love doing tricky stuff. It is one of the most difficult characters I have played. I had to internalize the character and get the body language right,” shared the actor.

Laxmmi Bomb is slated for a June 5, 2020 release and will witness a box office clash with Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai.
