Mangeshkar was rushed to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on Monday after she complained of pain in her chest and that she was facing difficulty in breathing. If the reports in the tabloid Mumbai Mirror are to be believed, the music legend is expected to be in the hospital for the next week. Talking about her health Dr Pratit Samdani, internal medicine physician, Breach Candy, told the tabloid, “Mangeshkar is still on life support, her condition is slowly improving, but she is still critical.”

According to the reports, Mangeshkar is suffering from pneumonia and heart problems. Amidst which she has also got a chest infection. The doctors have announced that until her infection gets cured they cannot go ahead with the procedures. Talking about the same Dr Samdani said, “Unless her infection gets under control, we cannot do any procedures. She is critical. It is difficult to say anything at this moment. We are monitoring her health continuously and we are hoping she will be all right.”
