Komal Nahta: The Ooh la la song, and the outstanding promotion of and the hype around The Dirty Picture.
Has the market share of Hollywood films at the Indian box-office increased in the last decade?
Komal Nahta: Not much! We now release far more number of prints of Hollywood films, and spend far more on promoting them. As a result, the revenues have increased but simultaneously, the revenues of Hindi films have also gone up. The percentage share of Hollywood films in the total pie hasn’t increased too much.
