Ki And Ka: No Cuts For Kareena & Arjun’s Kissing Scenes

Now that’s a first from the Censor board. After giving a U/A certificate to Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor starrer Ki And Ka, the Censor Chief shocked us with the revelation that all the kissing scenes in the film have been retained. So while several people moaned over the cuts of James Bond’s kissing scenes, here is a Bollywood film that will have them. Pleasantly strange, right?

Certainly such a move was questioned and we hear, Pahlaj Nihalani had a rather interesting logical reasoning to it. According to him since Kareena and Arjun play a married couple in the film, scenes of their intimacy are acceptable and that R Balki has shot them naturally. According to him, it would be unnecessary to cut these aesthetically captured moments of intimacy.

The film had some minor verbal cuts such as ‘Bastard’ and ‘Asshole’. Ki And Ka is a romantic drama which throws light on gender role reversals and hence Arjun will be seen playing a house husband in the film.
