Some like it short, others love the long dangling ones! How do Bollywood’s female heartthrobs wear their earrings? Let’s check out how the stars like it…
Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya Rai doesn’t like to experiment too much. The doe-eyed actress sticks to long earrings and jhumkas for traditional wear. With dresses, she goes for stud earrings. The whole Bengali avatar, complete with the draped sari, sindoor and glass bangles, definitely makes Ash look splendid.
Katrina Kaif
Now here’s someone who loves her bling! Katrina Kaif absolutely adores her diamond danglers and doesn’t mind showing them off with her lacy saris and anarkalis. Kat mostly opts for nice long diamond earrings with her traditional clothes that go well with her svelte figure and long neck.
Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra prefers to keep it simple. You’ll mostly see the actress dressed in denims, short dresses and tops, and a simple stud to go with it. Now if it’s a fancy occasion (both the snaps are from weddings!), you’ll see the lovely saris and their matching earring peering from behind her hair.
Sonakshi Sinha
Being a fashion designer before being an actress has its advantages. Just look at Sonakshi Sinha and you’ll know. The ‘junior shotgun’ has stayed away from any major fashion faux-pas so far. Plus, she manages to add that perfect finish to her look with her earrings. Not one to shy away with studs and tiny danglers, the ‘Dabangg’ girl lets her bling do the talking!
Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone loves her dresses and studs, but she does manage to mix and match some of her long, heavy earrings with the strapless gowns and anarkalis with ease.
Anushka Sharma
Playing the spunky girl in most of her films so far has probably given Anushka Sharma an excuse to stay away from bling accessories. While Anushka does look gorgeous in a sari (just look at that glowing face in the red sari!), she rarely wears a sari to hook on those gorgeous chandeliers.
Bipasha Basu
When was the last time you saw Bipasha Basu in traditional attire? While Bips prefers her short dresses and tops, she does look elegant in anarkalis and saris. And she teams them up with heavy jewellery that look fab on her!
Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut isn’t leaving anything to chance. She strictly adheres to the ‘jhumka=traditional’ wear rule.
Sonam Kapoor
Another ‘earsome’ star is the dainty Sonam Kapoor. Much like Sonakshi, Sonam doesn’t mind experimenting with the lengths of her earrings: be it with her pretty dresses or her chiffon saris. And she doesn’t play it safe with katoris and jhumkas, she goes for emerald drops, designs and more!
Vidya Balan
No surprises that Vidya Balan isn’t the biggest fan of western clothes, and we’d like her to keep it that way. While the Dirty Picture star might play match-match a bit too often, she looks so elegant with the dangling jhumkas that we’re not complaining!
