Join UsThe trailer of Shakun Batra’s Kapoor & Sons released yesterday. The film stars Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah in lead roles. While the star cast of the film looks extremely interesting, we wish the trailer would’ve been a more fun ride. Taking off with a scene of the two hot hunks of the film, Sid and Fawad, we are shown how the two brothers are totally different from one another.
The boys are home after a long time and hence the family is supposed to have a merry time but it turns out the Kapoor bunch has quite some issues. At one point there even comes a dialogue that reminds us of the Mehras of Dil Dhadakne Do.
If the internal issues are any less, the obvious twist of the plot is introduced and that is Alia Bhatt. She is the girl who both the brothers have fallen for. Does that remind you of something? Well, could it be Sorry Bhai or Mere Brother Ki Dulhan? In all this drama, there is also a Dadaji (Rishi Kapoor) who is spunky yet emotional.
The music seems to be good and we can expect a decent album. Hopefully the film will not turn out to be another Shaandaar which surely had a great face value thanks to star cast but a crappy content.
One of the best selling points for Kapoor & Sons will certainly be Alia and Sidharth’s chemistry considering the rumors of their off-screen affair.
