Following Bombay High Court’s stay orders on BMC’s demolition at Kangana Ranaut’s office in Mumbai, the actress’ lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui slammed the local body for ‘lying in public’. He also narrated the series of events occurred that led to the alleged demolition.

BMC workers had allegedly brought down a portion of Kangana’s office with the help of a JCB machine. They went on break into the actor’s office premises and began demolishing proceedings inside as well. The actor’s advocate also showed stay order issued by the Bombay High Court but the BMC officials rejected it.

Speaking to the media as per Republic, Kangana’s lawyer said, “BMC and we have to work as per law. We will work as per the law codes. No one can intimidate or threaten and enter someone’s property like this. I will file a criminal case against them.”

Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer also argued that BMC’s demolition works continued despite him informing the officials that the matter was sub-judice. However, now the Bombay High Court has directed the civic body to file a reply on the actor’s petition and the hearing of the case is scheduled for tomorrow.

The Manikarnika actress has been at the loggerheads with Maharashtra government and Shiv Sena leaders ever since she accused Mumbai police of covering up Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. She also allegedly compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir after she faced death threats.

Earlier in the day, Kangana Ranaut had shared pictures of the BMC workers demolishing her property on Twitter. She also claimed that she was never wrong with what she said about Mumbai was made into ‘PoK’.

In another tweet, the actress clarified that there is no illegal construction at her property. And she pointed out that Government has banned any demolition till September 30 in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. Furthermore, she wrote that this is what ‘fascism’ loos like.
