Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao’s Mental Hai Kya found itself in an unending trouble after some doctors objected the title. Even Deepika Padukone’s Live Love Foundation opposed the same and suggested that it’s insensitive for mentally challenged people.
Even after numerous explanations from film’s banner, Balaji Productions and producer Ekta Kapoor, the problems couldn’t end and the makers had to finally take the tough decision to change the title of film.
Yes, the title of the film Mental Hai Kya has been changed to Judgementall Hai Kya. Also the film has been cleared by CBFC with minor cuts and will hit the cinemas on July 26, 2019.
An official statement by Balaji read as,”Given the sensitivity attached to the issue of mental health and our intention of not offending or hurting anyone’s sentiments, the makers have decided to change the title of the film Mental Hai Kya to ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’. Both Kangana and Rajkummar have outdone themselves in this thriller and we can’t wait for audiences to witness it on the big screen.
