Kangana Ranaut was at the trailer of her upcoming movie, Judgemental Hai Kya, and as usual, the actress didn’t shy away from making bold statements. She spoke about the 2016-2017’s phase where Hrithik Roshan allegedly called her mentally unstable, how Salman Khan’s Mental was allowed but her movie went through partiality and much more!
It all started when Kangana shared what inspired her to take up the role. She said it was the 2016 phase, during the on-going feud with Hrithik Roshan. “There was a phase in my life where people tried to openly shame me by saying that I have a mental illness. They said I am on medication and hence she is claiming things. I had answered that as well saying, ‘so what?’ Even though I am not on any medication, I would not have been embarrassed if I was,” she said.

“When Kanika narrated me the role, I thought it was my story. If the phase of 2016-2017 hadn’t come and if I had heard the story then, maybe I wouldn’t have considered it an issue – a girl being called mentally unstable. I related to the film because of my phase,” the actor said.

Furthermore, she took a dig at the Industry to saying Salman Khan’s movie, Kick, was inspired from South Indian film, Kick, but when they came up with the title, they said it has recently been banned. “There were several cases and threats against us. The South Indian original of Salman Khan’s Kick is called Mental. But we were informed that these words were banned just a few weeks ago,” Kangana said.
However, it was actually Jai Ho (2014) which was during its production stage being tentatively titled as ‘Mental’, but the name was changed when the movie released!
