A few days ago, there were reports of RSS doing a meeting with the executives of Amazon Prime and Netflix to stop them from streaming “anti-India” content. At a panel discussion at MAMI 2019, filmmaker Kabir Khan said that he won’t be surprised if he is asked to make pro-India content soon.

At the event, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan director said, “Nobody’s told me. But yes you’re absolutely right. The conditions are happening, one reads and hears about it. Strange sort of pressures do come on people. As of now, nothing’s come on me. I wouldn’t be surprised if someday somebody tries to pass this message on to me.”

He further added, “I think they know how I’ll react so they aren’t saying it right now. But yes, we are absolutely living in times where anything can be said.”

Kabir Khan’s next directorial is titled ’83 is based on India’s 1983 World Cup Cricket victory. The film stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev and Deepika Padukone will essay his wife Romi Dev in the film.

Along with DeepVeer, the film has a talented cast which includes Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Bhasin, Hardy Sandhu, Jatin Sharma, and Boman Irani. ’83 is slated to release next year on the 10th of April 2020.
