Pakistan Government recently banned all Indian movies in their country as retaliation to PM Narendra Modi and his government’s decision of revoking Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir. Amidst all the situations, Mika Singh was spotted performing at former Pakistan President, Pervez Musharraf’s relatives wedding in Lahore. Now, as a result of that, All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has boycotted and banned the singer from the industry.
It all happened last night when the cine workers decided to protest Mika’s action. AICWA also issued a press release regarding the ban on Mika Singh. It reads, “AICWA bans and boycott singer Mika Singh from the Indian film industry for performing at a high profile event at Karachi dated August 8, 2019.”

“AICWA takes a tough stand of immediately boycotting all his association with movie production houses, music companies and online music content providers.
AICWA workers will make sure that no one in India works with Mika Singh and if anyone does, they will face legal consequences in the court of law, ” the statement further reads.
AICWA also requested Information & Broadcasting Ministry to intervene & act legally on the singer.

Well, Mika’s decision of performing in Pakistan surely didn’t go well with the AICWA members, and now looks like there’s a tough time ahead for him.
Meanwhile, yesterday at the trailer launch of Section 375, when actress Richa Chadha was asked her take on the issues, she said, “I have a very different point of view. I feel artistes talk about love and peace. We (Pakistan and India) have a common culture, and I feel people ban artistes because artistes can mend relations between the two states. (laughing) In order to end the conflict, we have to see the other side as human, so the first victim of conflict is usually art and humanity be it cricket or songs. I think citizens from both the sides want peace. It’s always anti-social people, terrorists, evil-minded people who create this chaos. So I don’t have a stand on this.. it’s just situations and things will change overtime.”
