John Abraham Stand On Kartik Aaryan’s Rape Monologue Row In Pati Patni Aur Woh: “Cannot Deal With Adult Comedy”

John, who is gearing up for the release of his next Pagalpanti alongside Anil Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Arshad Warsi, and Ileana D’cruz has finally cleared the air around doing adult comedies. Speaking to Pinkvilla, John Abraham said, “I cannot deal with adult comedy. In Pagalpanti, it is a universal movie. You can target anyone, from the age of 5 to 80-90, there is nothing offensive in it. There is no bloodshed, the villains are cute, everything is very good and positive about the film. Subconsciously I don’t. I can’t do adult humour, so if anything it bothers me in a line and I feel it might be offensive as far as humour goes, I probably wouldn’t say it.”

Giving out his perspective about the marital rape monologue controversy, Anil Kapoor said, “It depends who you are working with as well. Sometimes you work with someone where you feel trapped. You trust a director completely and then feel ‘what is this line?’ There are youngsters and newcomers, they don’t know how to say no and don’t realize it and later they feel they received flak for it. But their intent is not wrong.”

Directed by Anees Bazmee, Pagalpanti is set to release on the 22nd of November.
