Is Rana Daggubati’s Role Bigger Than Abhishek Bachchan’s In Dum Maaro Dum?

It’s not exactly the best of times for Abhishek Bachchan with three consecutive flops last year. And now with the role of a go-getter cop in Dum Maaro Dum he’s hoping to get some success at the box-office. But things might not be that easy.

Rumour in the industry is that Bollywood newcomer Rana Dagubatti has a bigger and more important role in ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ than Abhishek Bachchan. Rana, who has starred in a Telugu film Leader before, plays a local musician in the film while Abhishek is the police office who sets out to clean Goa of all its dirty businesses. So while Abhi is busy beating up the bad guys, Rana also gets to romance the sexy Bipasha Basu in the film.

What’s more is that Prateik Babbar only has a guest appearance in the film! If you’ve seen the trailer, Prateik had a blink-and-miss role in it too. So is Rana the real star of the film? And has Abhishek Bachchan’s role gone Thayn thayn like his song?
