Actors Irrfan Khan and Shahid Kapoor were attacked with a fire pot in Kashmir, while shooting for Haider. Though the shooting for this Vishal Bharadwaj film was going smoothly, news reports state that during the shooting of a particular sequence a young boy threw Kangri (fire pot) on the actors. It required the police to control the crowd.
The sequence had both Shahid and Irrfan moving towards a car when someone from the crowd of onlookers threw a Kangri at them. The burning ashes from it touched both the actors who were obviously taken aback.

The duo were shooting a kidnapping sequence in the Valley and the incident resulted in utter havoc amongst the crowd. The Police is suspecting the miscreant was one of those people who had gathered to take the autographs of the stars.

Haider‘s team had returned to Kashmir on 27th January to finish up the pending shooting from their earlier schedule. The current schedule will last for 25 days apparently.
Haider directed by Bharadwaj is based on the epic Shakespearan tragedy ‘Hamlet’ and stars Irrfan and Shahid along with Tabu and newbie Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles.
