Imran Khan and Avantika Malik’s love story was inspiring for many people. From being his childhood sweetheart to being his wife, it was no less than a fairytale. But it was all shattered when the couple parted ways and got divorced. Imran and Lekha were seen together at the wedding of Aamir Khan‘s daughter, Ira Khan, with Nupur Shikhare in Udaipur. They made news for their alleged romance in 2021. Meanwhile, Avantaika has reportedly moved on and is allegedly dating Sahib Singh Lamba, whom she met through common friends. The Luck star has opened up about it and slammed people for holding Lekha responsible for the split.

In his recent interview with Vogue, Imran Khan expressed his anger over the narrative where Lekha Washington was the villain in his and Avantika’s marriage. He is revolted by the fact that it is not only misogynistic but it takes away his freedom as an individual. Khan revealed the timeline when he and Lekha came closer, confirming their relationship.

Imran Khan said, “Lekha and I grew close during the lockdown, a year and a half after I had been separated from Avantika and almost a year after she had separated from her partner, not husband as it has been widely reported.”

In that same interview, Imran Khan also spoke about seeking professional help after exiting Bollywood in 2015. He has been taking therapy consistently for the last seven years. Imran revealed that he lacked the motivation to invest his time and energy into it.

Imran Khan is still loved by his fans, and they want him back in the films. Luckily for them, he is planning on returning to the movie. For the unversed, he made his feature film debut with Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na in 2008. It featured Genelia Deshmukh opposite him. The film received a lot of praise and was both a critical and commercial success. His movie Delhi Belly, released in 2011, also received many positive reviews.
