After a row of successes Rohit Shetty has reached a stage of his career where everything he touches becomes gold. Talking to Koimoi, in a recent interview we asked the filmmaker whether he feels he is invincible. Rohit responded saying, “The day I reach that, it will be my downfall as a filmmaker. The day I take my success for granted or my audiences for granted, I will ruin whatever I have achieved so far. In Singham Returns‘ post production, I am as nervous as I was during Golmaal. When we make a film, all my assistant directors invest equally in it from the creative point of view. My films are never about me alone.”
Rohit continued to explain the same with reference to the box office footfalls of a film, “You can make a film but you cannot guarantee its box office fate. I would have been Bill Gates by now if that were true, delivering 300 hits a year. All we can do is work hard.”

But Rohit always works with established actors and never with newer actors. This has got him under a lot of fire from the audiences. Clarifying this, he explains, “See I cannot get carried away that I can make anything. Being very practical, when there is a newcomer being launched the budgets need to be kept modest. The box office fate is a different story but such films need to remain in a constricted budget. With newcomers the subject needs to be different. You can’t splurge massively on the action because that will heighten the budget again. In near future probably my films will be launchpad for some new actors. But there is nothing is vicinity currently.”
