Kangana Ranaut is in her career’s prime obviously. With a brilliant success like Queen on her sleeve, the actress has taken up a bold role like Revolver Rani. Playing the titular character and the film’s protagonist Alka Singh, the actress is calling the shots (literally so!).
In an interview with Koimoi, she said, “When I went for narration of this film to Tigmanshu (Dhulia) Sir’s office, my sister had also come along with me. She was aghast and said no way are you doing this film. The character was crazy, twisted, aggressive, abusive… She is a nymphomaniac.The character seemed difficult, impossible to create on screen. I told my sister, hell yeah I am doing it! And I took it up.”
She continued with a chuckle, “After watching Revolver Rani no one would want to marry me.”
Though the actress in her lighter mood also said, “If I was aware that Sai is getting me to a place where there are people on whom two-three murder cases are there and even doodhwala (milkman) has a gun… I would not have done it. I wouldn’t have taken the risk.”
Kangana looks visibly delighted at having taken up such an intriguing role. Directed by Sai Kabir, the film also stars Vir Das and Piyush Mishra in lead roles. It is all set to hit the screens on 25th April, 2014.
