While Fashionista is one tag of the resplendent lady, she is often called arrogant by many. After her stint at Koffee With Karan’s last season where she appeared with her father, she was met with multiple spoofs and scathing criticism for random statements and remarks she made on the show. Talking of it, Sonam Kapoor said, “I don’t care about the nasty things that are being about said about me. I have learnt to move on. Young girls look up to me not only for the fashion sense but also for what I signify. I don’t have to make politically correct statements all the time, because people who love me do so for who I am.”

Continuing about the same, she added, “People are always slotted into categories based on their physical appearance and demeanor. When you dress well and look good, why is it a given that you have no brains? I know that my young fans get me and frankly that is all I want.”
Her character in Khoobsurat is very close to her because she looks so lively in the film. She agrees. Sonam said, ” I am a feminist. I don’t believe in changing for love. If my Prince Charming expects me to change for love then there can’t be a happily ever after with him. That’s where me and Dr Mili are just the same.”
Khoobsurat, directed by Shashank Ghosh is all set to release this Friday. Starring Sonam along with Fawad Khan in lead roles, the film is remake of the Hrishikesh Mukherjee classic of the same name.
