Jubilant and charismatic as ever, Farhan Akhtar in his own astute style, while promoting the latest installment from his production house Excel Entertainment conjointly with Aamir Khan Productions, merrily said that he had no intentions of directing Talaash: The Answer Lies Within, and it was very natural that Reema Kagti would have taken the director’s chair.
Farhan quipped, “No! I mean it’s a script written by Reema and Zoya (Akhtar), and it always had Reema attached to it as a director and she’s lived with it for a very long time. It’s something that she’s felt, that she wanted to make, that she wanted to write, wanted to develop, so it comes from inside her. So it’s a material that is very very close to her.”
He added further, “If we just remove ourselves from the equation, it is not beneficial for the film or for any director to make it, if he or she does not feel as close to the material. As Reema feels on the same, so it was more natural that Reema would direct this film.”
Farhan seems elated by only producing and penning down dialogues for Talaash while he stated, “I am very happily involved as a Producer on the film and Reema gave me the opportunity to write on the dialogues for the film as well. So I am very happy with roles that I am playing.”
Farhan along with Rani Mukerji and Reema Kagti, is touring the country to promote their film, keeping the story and plot of Talaash: The Answer Lies Within still under the wraps. Staying tight-lipped about the story, the team as USP plans to present before all, a story that is gripping with exceptional performances from the whole star cast. After much delayed release of the movie for several reasons, the promotions of the movie have been deliberately kept low key to keep the excitement and anticipation levels for the movie high.
