There are a lot of people who still have Tum Hi Ho in their go-to music playlist. From ‘dard’ to ‘khushi’, there is not a single genre that he can’t sing or compose. I don’t know if you remember but Phir Mohabbat from Murder 2 was his debut song and since then he is ruling our hearts!
His chartbusters include songs like Tum Hi Ho, Channa Mereya, Hawayein, Pal and the list goes on.

Apart from his soulful songs, there were few instances when Arijit was in the limelight for the wrong reasons.
Look at the top controversies of Arijit Singh:
Salman Khan Controversy:
Salman was hosting Star Guild Awards (2014) and announced Arijit as the Best Playback Male Singer for Tum Hi Ho. When he came to the stage to collect it, Salman asked ‘So gaye the kya’ on which Arijit replied ‘Aap logo ne sula diya yaar, tab se’. Salman didn’t react to it but later became a big controversy and he got offended by the way the singer behaved. Arijit tried to apologise to Salman but didn’t accept it. After trying everything, Arijit then posted an apology on Facebook for Salman Khan, but he didn’t respond to that too.
2. Shamit Tyagi Controversy:
Shamit Tyagi was Arijit’s best friend during Fame Gurukul but he ditched him during the voting round for a newcomer named Monica, who wasn’t that great as Shamit and this came as a shock to everyone. He was criticised by everyone on the show. He made to the top 6 but apparently couldn’t win the show.

3. When he lost his cool during the concert:
This was some anonymous concert where Arijit was performing and as soon as he starts singing Nadaan Parinde, some glitch happens and he screams ‘Somebody, fucking fix this mike’. The video went viral because this was probably the first time when we saw Arijit losing his temper!
Contrary to such controversies, we hope that he keeps singing the way he does and keeps giving us chartbusters always!
