The yesteryear blockbuster Haathi Mere Saathi featuring Rajesh Khanna will be remade with a modern twist by a film director from south – Prabhu Solomon.

Trinity Pictures, which is a franchise of Eros International, holds the remake rights of this film.

The makers of the film have a different story, which is about friendship and loyalty. So, Haathi Mere Saathi will be just a reference point and not a frame to frame remake.

This film will be made on a bigger scale, and soon the casting will be finalized after locking the script. The film will go on floors in monsoon and will be shot in India and abroad, which is said to also have heavy chunk of VFX work.
