Govinda Won’t Play Alia’s Dad In Shandaar!

Vikas Bahl did it in Queen. He will do it again in Shandaar says all. The film, that stars Alia Bhatt alongside Shahid Kapoor, was expected to have even Govinda on board who walked out of the project recently.

A leading daily explained the reason to be purely remuneration based issue. The role was of a happy go lucky dad and Govinda quite fit the bill. Though the role kicked the actor, the money issue cropped up soon enough. The actor asked for an obnoxious amount and wouldn’t budge from it.

Govinda walked out citing date issues and is currently immersed in his home production ‘Abhinay Chakra’. Reports had also claimed Karan Johar was approached for the role of Alia’s dad but those reports have been rubbished as well.

Shandaar needs a 45-year old cool dude who can palm as someone young at heart and we wonder who will play Alia’s dad now!
