Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is one of the most anticipated films of the year. While the first look has left fans asking for more, what if we tell you Katrina Kaif might join the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial?

Yes, you read that right. Close friends Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif might come together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. The grapevine has that Katrina might do a special number in the film and the song is said to be a magnum opus as the filmmaker is known for.

The rumour mills started churning harder recently when Katrina was papped outside Bhansali’s office in the city. Now according to a report in IBTimes, Katrina is doing a special dance number in the film.

The report also claims that the actress will be shooting for the same on a lavish set in the city in a fortnight’s time. Imagining the grand scale that Bhansali serves and Katrina’s top-notch dancing skills, the song is sure to be a highlight point of the film if it happens for real.

Meanwhile starring Alia, Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi’s loved novel Mafia Queens Of Mumbai. Set in 1950’s Alia will be playing a brothel owner in Kamathipura. As of now, we have seen two looks of the actress from the posters. The film is set to release on September 11, 2020.

As for Katrina, the actress will be next seen in Sooryavanshi that stars Akshay Kumar in the titular character. The film which takes ahead director Rohit Shetty’s cop universe releasing on March 24.
