Post Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2, the latest is that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is considering the actor for his next with Alia Bhatt which is being reported as a biopic on Gangubai. Recently, Kartik was spotted outside Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office and that’s where the entire rumours picked! Soon after, speculations were doing the rounds to which project they may be collaborating on. Looks like post bagging movies with almost every next-gen actress, the actor has now bagged Gangubai with Alia Bhatt. The actor will reportedly be seen as Alia’s love interest in the movie.

A recent report by Bollywood Hungama suggests the same as, “While Alia has the biggest part in the film, the script of Gangubai also includes a young male character who has an important part to play as well as Alia’s love interest. To get the right actor enact this part, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has intensified his search so that preparations are well in place before the film goes on floors. The character appears at a crucial juncture of the film’s narrative and leaves a strong impression. Knowing Bhansali’s penchant for getting his characterisation and casting perfectly right, one expects the part written for Kartik to be carrying good meat as well.”

While there has been no announcement as of yet, either about SLB-Alia’s next project or whether Gangubai is the one, only time will tell what Bhansali has planned for the actress as well as her massive fan base.
