The actor graduated from Hindu College, Delhi University in the 1990s and has a special connection with the city. This inspired him to open his very first restaurant in the national capital. LAP stands for Lounge and Play. It has AD Singh, a Delhi based restaurateur as Rampal’s partner. The two of them came up with the idea on one of their trips together.

The lounge exudes luxury and comfort. It stretches over 17,000 sq feet area, with two different sections. One of them is the ‘Members Only’ lounge section while the other caters to an alfresco dining area of 10,500 sq ft. Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s wife, and Mehr Jesia, Arjun’s ex-wife, have done the interiors of the place. Tarun Tahiliani and Rohit Bal have designed the furniture. Rampal went all out with creating a top of the art nightclub where people from the creative world can hang out.
This members-only club straddles between a night club and a lounge. It also has six in-house DJs who will entertain you with splendid music. Rampal takes his music very seriously and has personally ensured that the music quality at LAB is the best in town. He also plans to use the restaurant as a platform to highlight young music talents.
