Deepika is known for her work commitment and dedication and there’s no denying that. Whenever she comes on the silver screen, she literally dons it like no one else. You just couldn’t take eyes off her!

Deepika was last seen shooting for Chhapaak which is a real-life based story of Laxmi Agarwal and directed by Megna Gulzar. The story revolves around an acid-attack survivor girl and how she dealt with everything else in her life later on. The name of Deepika’s character is ‘Malti’ and she shared a glimpse of that on social media. Just after the last schedule of Chhapaak, Deepika had flown to London and signed Kabir Khan’s 83 opposite husband Ranveer Singh. A source close to DNA revealed, “Deepika plays an intense character in Chhapaak, where she had to go deep into the life of Laxmi. Romi is completely different, so she had to let go of the emotional journey of the former and have a clean slate before starting her next shoot.”

Recently, Deepika revealed how she detached herself from these two completely different roles and said, “In fact, I’ve always believed that a character never really leaves your system entirely. This time around, I took to cleaning and organising things around my home to help me cope with switching from Laxmi to Romi Dev in ’83. It helped me de-stress and clear my mind of any clutter.”
