First Look: Ashutosh Gowarikar’s TV Series ‘Everest’

The first look of director Ashutosh Gowarikar’s upcoming TV series titled ‘Everest’ was unveiled recently. The TV series is based on the struggle of a daughter who decides to climb the highest peak in the world for her father’s acceptance. The show will be co-directed by Glen Baretto and Ankush Mohla.

The story has been penned by Ashutosh himself, who has always been intrigued by mountaineers and their struggle and determination to reach the top. Even though the protagonist of the show is a female, the story unfolds the inner conflicts of all the characters as it shapes up.

Interestingly, this TV series also marks the debut of composer A.R Rahman to the small screen. The duo have worked brilliantly for their films such as Swades, Jodha Akbar and now with this TV series, it will be Rahman’s first contribution to Television.

Major portions of the film have been shot at Nepal and Uttarakhand. The idea behind this elaborate TV series is to take the cinema experience home. Soon the show’s promo will also be unveiled and also the information on its slot and the number of episodes is yet to be announced.
