Ajay Devgn is back in the circuit with Singham Returns. After having a bad year with Himmatwala and Satyagraha flopping last year, the actor slips back the character he is best known for. Singham has become the symbol of good commercial cinema in recent times and this time Devgn is quite walking towards expected box office success.
An actor, who was earlier known for niche, gritty films like Zakhm and Raincoat has now shifted towards commercial entirely. Ask him why and he said, “I have not heard a script that will excite me as much as Mahesh Bhatt did in Zakhm. It took me 30 seconds to decide whether I want to do the film or not. I have not heard a script like that in a very long time. When I really want to do a film, I do it. I was the first one to do films like Thakshak and Zakhm at a time when nobody used to touch such films. I will love to do something like that again provided I get a script that really excites me which I haven’t heard in a long time.”

Continuing from the same, the actor said, “Coming to box office hits, when you do an off beat film like that it should be in restrained budget. It is made for lesser audiences. If that is managed, it is again a hit. Films don’t fail, budgets fail.”
