It’s been over 18 months since Shah Rukh Khan fans have been craving for his next. How about an actioner directed by Siddharth Anand (War) which could also star Deepika Padukone?
Well, it seems Yash Raj Films will finally unveil their biggest announcement of 50-year-celebratory movie-slate with this one. The movie rumoured is said to be titled as Pathan and as per the strong sources, it will have Shah Rukh Khan for sure. Deepika Padukone is ‘likely’ said to play the female lead.
The sources of Peeping Moon states, “The script is almost ready and SRK has signed the papers and is now sitting with YRF honchos to figure out shooting schedules and timelines. The studio’s 50th anniversary is next month and Aditya Chopra is expected to announce Pathan and give its release date as October 2, 2021 – Gandhi Jayanti.”

Adding about the SRK starrer, the source adds, “The film is expected to be a lavishly-mounted, action-drama that Siddharth wanted to shoot at several virgin locations around the world like War. But with Covid-19 showing no signs of receding, YRF is exploring other options. Pathan was to go on the floor in October, but no date has now been fixed.”
Well, this surely is EXPLOSIVE, to say the least! If YRF manages to reunite Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan, it’ll be firecrackers at the box office all over again.
