After the film shoots were halted in mid-March, Salman Khan had pledged to aid daily wage workers who are unable to make their ends meet because of the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown. Koimoi has now learnt that Salman has gone a step ahead to help his lookalike Sagar Pandey, along with that of the superstars’ contemporaries like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol and Nana Patekar.
Confirming the news Raju Rahikwar aka Jr. Shah Rukh Khan says, “These are tough times. I had upcoming shows in London and the US which got cancelled. Until Tuesday no one had come forward to help the lookalike community. However, at around 1pm today, I got a message that three thousand rupees has been transferred in my account from Being Human. The same has been done for a lot of other duplicates as well.”
Raju, who has been impersonating SRK for more than two decades, will now help Shakti Kapoor’s lookalike to buy a gas cylinder and another senior artist Black Deva, popular known for mimicking many Bollywood stars.

Salman’s lookalike Sagar is also one of the recipients. “Many lookalikes who were struggling to arrange for one time’s meal, however, this help from Salman bhai will benefit them a lot. I have even conveyed my gratitude to Salman through someone we know in common. With Salman bhai’s support I have managed to remain afloat in these tough times, but with this amount I am going to help those who are really in need of this money,” Jr. Salman adds.
In early April, FWICE President BN Tiwari had informed Koimoi that Salman had made an initial transaction of Rs 6 crore to help thousands of workers during the lockdown. Besides Salman many other actors like Shah Rukh, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan and Varun Dhawan have come forward to contribute to the COVID-19 relief fund.
