“Emraan-Vishal is a very Unusual Combination” – Huma Qureshi

Huma Qureshi, who shot to fame in 2012 with Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur 2, has bagged as good as two films in her kitty.

Speaking about her forthcoming films, Huma said, “I have 2 more releases in 2013. One is a supernatural thriller Ek Thi Daayan opposite Emraan Hashmi. Other is a film called D-Day which is an action film directed by Nikhil Advani.”

Adds Huma, “It was a super fun experience while shooting Ek Thi Daayan. We are very proud of our film. And fingers crossed…the film is releasing on 18^th of April. Emraan Hashmi and Vishal Bhardwaj is a very unusual combination. Yet it was super fun. They are very creative people. I am a fan of Vishal Bhardwaj ever since I can remember. So, for me it was an honour to work with him. He is producing this film along with Ekta Kapoor. And I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work with.”

Ek Thi Daayan, a co-production with Vishal Bhardwaj and directed by debutant Kannan Iyer, is a super-natural thriller top-lined by Emraan Hashmi, Huma Qureshi, Kalki Koechlin and Konkona Sen Sharma, and marks the coming together of Vishal Bhardwaj and Emraan Hashmi for the first time, additionally a musical bonanza.
