Emraan Hashmi, after staying away from the limelight, has once again started spreading his wings. Last year, we saw him bagging a big film as he was a part of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3. Even his Ae Watan Mere Watan, which is led by Sara Ali Khan, just arrived on OTT. While the actor is exploring different genres at this stage, he was recently asked if Jannat 3 will ever happen. Here’s what he has to say!
Before Emraan started experimenting with roles, he had cemented his position as a raunchy lover. He shot to fame with films like Murder and Aashiq Banaya Aapne and maintained a solid streak of success. Among his successful work, the Jannat franchise still enjoys a loyal fanbase, and there have been reports stating that there’s a plan to make Jannat 3. However, those reports stayed in the headlines only as the film never took off.

Now, while talking to Hindustan Times, Emraan Hashmi has opened up about Jannat 3. While the actor is super excited to be a part of the film, he feels it won’t happen due to a creative split between Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. He quoted, “I would love to do that, probably old wine in a new bottle. The makers (Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt) have to come together again to make it happen, which I unfortunately don’t see happening. It’s a team, right? If by some stroke of luck or miracle that happens, it will happen.”

For those who don’t know, Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt have churned out several films under their banner, Vishesh Films. However, due to some reported differences, the duo decided to split in 2021. Even Jannat and Jannat 2 were produced under the banner of Vishesh Films. As Emraan said, let’s hope for some miracle to happen that’ll lead to a patch-up between Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt.
On the work front, Emraan Hashmi will be next seen in Pawan Kalyan‘s They Call Him OG. He has also bagged a role in Adivi Sesh’s G2.
