Shilpa Shetty’s husband and also the business tycoon of the country Raj Kundra has been convened by The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today in Mumbai.
According to the reports, Raj was interrogated with a Rs 2000 crore Bitcoin scam which is being scrutinised. It is said that Kundra’s name came up when accused Amit Bharadwaj was being questioned in the case.
Those dealing with bitcoins worth Rs 1 crore or more were recently sent notices by the Income Tax Department, and the names were also forwarded to ED. An investigation was then initiated for money laundering and fraud. It is also said that more names of Bollywood celebrities involved in the scam may come up.
Even earlier, Raj Kundra’s name was involved in the IPL betting scandal that led him to a life ban from all cricket-related activities. He also pleaded in Supreme Court in March 2018 challenging the decision, hoping to abolish the ban. The IPL cricket team co-owned by Kundra, Rajasthan Royals, was also banned for two years.

Not only this, he also got involved in an ugly fight on Twitter as they accuse each other or being fraud. Raj, who launched Indian Poker League last year called Sachiin out over non-payment of dues.They both had difference of opinion about each other. While Raj accused Sachiin of owing him Rs 40 lakh, Sachiin accused Raj of setting up the tournament.
