The movie indeed is a cult classic, but what if a sequel is on the cards? Akshaye has revealed about quirky plans he discussed with director Farhan Akhtar about Dil Chahta Hai 2, and here’s all you need to know about it.
Akshaye was present at the trailer launch of his upcoming movie, Section 375, which also stars Richa Chadha in lead. Upon being congratulated for the completion of 18 years of Dil Chahta Hai, Akshay spoke in details about the movie and what the sequel will comprise of, if at all, ever made.
“I always told Farhan.. I said wait, till all of us are 50+ and then, make Dil Chahta Hai 2. It will be fun, if you make it after 10-15 years, it’ll be no fun. So, I think now Aamir is 50+, Saif will be there soon and I will take a little more time, you’ll see,” he concluded as he laughed along with the audience.
Well that was one witty answer, but we really wish Dil Chahta Hai 2 is made. Don’t you?

Meanwhile, Akshaye is currentlu gearing up for Section 375, a court room drama, which is based on the section 375 of the IPC.
The movie is helmed by Ajay Bahl and is slated for a 13th September, 2019 release.
