Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the biopic on Indian athlete Milkha Singh fetched several awards for it’s excellent work. Actor Farhan Akhtar swept all the awards for his role as the ‘Flying Sikh‘ but little did we know that there was one more actor who was eyeing this role.

Well, at a recently held event, director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra divulged that Ranveer Singh too had auditioned for the role. He was quoted saying, “Farhan came as an instinctive choice. His age was wrong- Farhan was 36, Milkha was 22. But I felt out of all the auditions I had seen he was the best. There were three people who stood out- one was a new actor called Nitish, one was Ranveer Singh, who was quite crazy and then Farhan,”
Even though Mehra was impressed with Ranveer’s act, he found Farhan more appealing and eventually signed him for the film.
